Clarence Adam Chick (1896 - 1966) - I actually made it yesterday to look at wills left by Clarence, then his wife, Helen, as promised.
I am going to put all of the research I have for him so far on the IAAM CFH Blog. I am speechless. He was the first generation born out of enslavement, and I was about 7 months when he died.
I researched him along with Anderson & Elenia Chick (my great great grandparents and their forebearers) and my great grandmother, Daisy in Union and Newberry Counties. I have spent this year getting to know him further.
Clarence is brother to Daisy. He was an educator, minister, and he left many investments.
I will let you know when the post is available
